Terri and her husband, Jerry, birding in the Bruce Peninsula, Canada.

Terri Everett has always enjoyed the outdoors, but didn't become a serious birder until this past year. Her brother, Karl, suggested online bird quizzes as a fun pastime, and that started the ball rolling. Karl has always been an inspiration by sharing his vast ornithological knowledge, and sending great photos after each outdoor trip (in quiz form) to help in bird identification. Terri's magic birding moment came a few weeks ago when she was able to hold a Ruby-throated Hummingbird coming out of torpor.
Terri and her husband live in Big Rapids, Michigan, next to the Muskegon River. It provides canoeing, swimming and, of course, bird-watching. Their two adult children live in Indiana. In her spare time, Terri also enjoys volunteering through Meals On Wheels to housebound senior citizens.
